Acquaviva Winery & Ristorante Batavia offers an exquisite journey into authentic Italian cuisine paired expertly with handcrafted, locally produced wines. Nestled at 1900 Mill St in Batavia, IL, this Italian restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a refined yet approachable dining experience deep in the heart of the Fox Valley area.
From the moment you step inside, the modern and elegant atmosphere captivates. The space is thoughtfully designed, balancing warmth and sophistication, with a quiet outdoor patio perfect for a romantic meal or an intimate gathering. Soft lighting and well-spaced tables create an inviting ambiance that encourages lingering over every bite and sip.
The dinner menu is a celebration of traditional Italian flavors elevated with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Start your meal with irresistible antipasti such as the Bruschetta Mozzarella—toasted crostini crowned with vine-ripened plum tomatoes, fresh basil, red onions, and extra virgin olive oil, delivering a refreshing harmony of textures and bright flavors. The Oysters Rockefeller, layered with rich bacon, creamy spinach, and asiago cheese, offer a delicate yet indulgent taste, while the Calamari Fritti arrives perfectly fried—light, crisp, and served with a zesty marinara and a splash of lemon to brighten the palate.
For salad lovers, the Arugula Salad stands out with its delightful mix of candied walnuts, salty prosciutto, pungent gorgonzola, ripe pears, and a zesty lemon vinaigrette—a sophisticated balance of sweet, tangy, and savory. Classic choices like the Caprese Salad and the ever-comforting Caesar Salad also make compelling starters or sides.
Acquaviva’s main courses feature a range of carefully crafted dishes, with customer favorites including the Cajun Shrimp and Salmon entrées, both praised for their nuanced flavors and perfectly executed preparations. End your evening on a sweet note with tantalizing desserts such as the Limoncello Flute, a refreshing lemon sorbet swirled with tangy limoncello sauce, or the decadently rich Chocolate Lava Cake oozing with warm chocolate ganache.
What truly elevates Acquaviva beyond just a great meal is the winery experience. Their in-house wine tastings showcase six distinctive wines for just $10, offering a friendly, educational, and highly enjoyable way to discover locally grown varieties from nearby Maple Park. Guests commonly express surprise and delight at the quality and breadth of flavors, many noting that the wines rival those from renowned vineyards much farther afield.

I have spend a lot of time in wineries all over the world, the last thing I was expecting to find a winery only 35 miles from my house and that to with very good quality wines. We did the wine tasting 6 wines for only $10 and on top they even offered us if we want we can slit that up,nobody is that good to customers. We enjoyed the wine tasting and than followed it up with excellent dinner. Definitely go back and take all my friends and family that enjoy good wine , great ambiance and excellent service.

Amazing experience here! The building is modern and beautiful on the inside and out. The food is outstanding and can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My number #1 Italian winery/restaurant in the state. The wines are locally harvested and the sauces/food taste better than any other restaurant I've been too around the Fox valley area.

Came here with my wife here for lunch. The inside of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. They make their own wine locally from locally grown fruit in Maple Park, IL. Every wine we tried was delicious. The food was superb, and the service was top echelon. It is a fantastic place for a romantic lunch or dinner. Wonderful atmosphere with a quiet, outdoor patio for eating.

We recently hosted a lunch for 20 people. The staff was wonderful. From reserving the private room to the food runners. Everyone enjoyed their time and meal very much with nothing but compliments to the chef. One person ordered a rare fillet and said it was cooked perfect and better than most high end steak houses they have been to. A special shout out to our server Ava, all I can say is you are an amazing young lady. Thank you Aquavina we will continue to be regulars.

The best hands down Italian restaurant/winery in the Chicago land area when you take everything into consideration. The food was fresh, tasty, well done and fairly priced. The wines, locally grown with deep breath of varieties. The atmosphere was excellent, quiet, tables spaced properly and lighting was perfect. The staff and ownership are top notch, getting back to customer service by greeting customers, making friendly and intelligent conversation and even bringing dishes for us to try. Can't say enough kind words for this locally owned restaurant/winery in the Chicago suburbs. We'll definitely be back to support our local businesses, you should do the same, you won't be disappointed!!
